Gawakoto Clothing in a collaborated effort with Art Junkie Tokyo just released their Limited Edition Save The Earth v2.0 rashguard. SplashMan vs Biohazard-0. Biohazard-0 are the evil politicians, lying about the dangers of nuclear power plants. SplashMan intervenes and crushes him smashing his face and mouth so he can no longer spew words of deception.
The Save The Earth rashguard showed up two days ago. As soon as I took it out of the package I could see it was a work or art. The colors are vibrant and eye catching. No screen printing here. The design is sublimated onto the material so it will be sure to take any abuse on the mat and in the wash. The elastic stitching flexes with the shirt, is top notch and reinforced on the inside. I don't see any potential for this garment to unravel.
When I put it on it was comfortable as in there was no stitching stabbing me and no itchyness. I had Bong Abad, the head-honcho at Gawakoto send me a medium but I should have asked for a large. I am 6'1" 150lbs, of course I know rashguards are supposed to be tight buy I like mine just a little loose side. My fault for not asking for a large. In the size department this thig is dead on. Its def a medium, not running to small and not running to big. Therefore, what ever size rashguard you normally wear order the same size in the Save The Earth piece. I recently lost 10lbs so I thought I would like the medium. It fits me perfect actually but I think I just rather go back to a large.
Next week I will be giving it some mat time when I head to the dojo. In closing this is probably the coolest rashguard I've ever seen and the quality in workmanship is exceptional. They come in blue like this one or red. For more info on these unique limited edition rashguards you can go to Art Junkie Tokyo or Gawakoto Clothing
